How does the AI mock interview work?

RoleGrowth interview prep is personalised to your resume and the specific job

you are applying for, not generic questions from a list.

How it works:

Start a session: go to Interview Prep and click Start new session.

Select the job from your tracker or paste a JD manually. Select your resume.

AI generates personalised questions: based on your resume and the JD,

AI predicts the 10 most likely questions the interviewer will ask.

Categories include behavioural, technical, product or process, and culture fit.

Practice answering: read the question and type your answer.

Practice Mode has STAR hints visible. Test Mode hides hints with a 2-minute timer.

Get STAR scored feedback: AI scores your answer across four components each out of 25:

• Situation: did you set the context?
• Task: did you explain your specific role?
• Action: did you describe what you did?
• Result: did you quantify the outcome?

You also get specific feedback on what was missing and a model answer showing

how a strong candidate would respond.

Session summary: after all questions, you get your average score,

strongest and weakest components, and which questions to practise again.
